At SDGforHer, we believe impact doesn’t need to be large or loud; it simply needs to be intentional. As 2026 begins, we proudly announce our first physical outreach of the year, in celebration of Eid al-Fitr. This effort underscores our ongoing dedication to supporting women and families in underserved communities, especially during times meant for joy, dignity and togetherness.

On March 22nd, 2026, our team set out along the coastal road in Lagos, intentionally seeking out women and families living in shanty communities, an area that is often overlooked, yet home to families navigating daily challenges with resilience and strength. Through this outreach, we were able to support 30 families with food supplies, ensuring that they could partake in the Eid celebrations with a greater sense of comfort and dignity.

While 30 families might seem like a small number amid widespread need, for us, it signifies something deeper; a commitment to showing up, being present and acting where it matters. Each family we support serves as a reminder that impact is not solely measured by scale, but also by intention and consistency.

This outreach also sets the tone for our work in 2026. As a nonprofit organisation, we remain focused on delivering interventions that are community-driven, responsive and rooted in real needs. Whether through food support, financial literacy programs, career development initiatives or dignity-focused interventions, our goal remains the same: to empower women and girls in Nigeria with the resources, knowledge and opportunities they need to thrive.

We are especially grateful to our volunteers and supporters who continue to make this work possible. Their commitment allows us to extend our reach and deepen our impact across communities. As we move forward into the year, we invite individuals, partners and organisations to join us in this journey. Because when we all choose to give, in whatever capacity we can, we create a ripple effect that goes far beyond what we can see.
