The Genesis

At SDGforHer, we are driven by the need to do more for the Nigerian woman and the girl child. As a non-profit organisation, our purpose is centred around building a community of individuals, organisations and advocates that are committed to empowering, enriching and advocating for women and girls across Nigeria while aligning our efforts with the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals.

We strongly believe that women and girls are vital to achieving the global goals of sustainable development and we are committed to creating a Nigeria where we all have equal access to opportunities, resources and decision-making power. Through our various programs, initiatives and partnerships, we aim to raise awareness, drive systemic change and address the challenges faced by Nigerian women and girls in their daily lives. We work towards ensuring that the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) are implemented effectively and inclusively, with a specific focus on empowering women and achieving gender equality.

At SDGforHer, we advocate for the creation of enabling environments that value and respect women’s rights, foster their leadership, and provide equitable access to education, healthcare, economic opportunities, and political participation. We believe that by uplifting women, we can unlock their full potential, accelerate sustainable development, and create a more equitable and prosperous future for all.
