HerFutureFound is a structured, supportive ecosystem to help young girls find their voice, uncover their potential and map out a sustainable future.

Program Structure

  • Career discovery workshops on sustainable career path, highlighting her interests, strengths and realistic opportunities she can begin preparing for between ages 12–18
  • Inspirational in class discussions with professional women who guide them through real-world questions, personal growth and aspiration mapping.
  • Self-awareness and life skills sessions through assessment. These sessions are delivered using storytelling, relatable case studies, role-play and group activities.
  • Upskilling through skill acquisition and personal development to help girls see the possibilities that exist beyond their immediate environment.
  • Addressing period poverty through distribution of pads to all girls in their swag bags

Program Objectives

  • To provide early exposure to careers and real-world opportunities that broaden their imagination and ambition.
  • To build confidence, self awareness and agency in girls, helping them articulate aspirations and pursue them intentionally.
  • To create a supportive network of mentors, peers and community role models who can influence positive decision-making.
  • To promote long-term gender equality by preparing girls for economic, academic and leadership pathways.

Our Impact So Far

  • Over 1500 adolescent girls engaged through pilot sessions in Lagos State.
  • Over 3000 sanitary pads distributed to girls participating in this program to help address period poverty.
  • Delivered workshops in seven secondary schools across undeserved communities in Nigeria.
  • 25% of participants reported increased confidence in speaking, planning and setting personal goals.
  • Parents and teachers have highlighted improved performance, self-esteem and openness to learning among participating girls.

Our Curriculum

HerFutureFound is guided by an in-house curriculum structured into four core pillars: Leadership, Digital Skills, Career Awareness, and Personal Development. Currently, lessons are delivered through:

  • In-class session for 60 – 90 minutes
  • practical exercises
  • group discussions
  • mentorship sessions
  • multimedia storytelling

The curriculum is continually evolving to meet global standards and local realities. SDGforHer is seeking collaboration with experts in youth development, digital education and adolescent psychology to further strengthen and scale the program. Our long-term vision is to see girls transition from HerLittleKolo → HerFutureFound → empowered young women prepared to lead, learn and build.
