SDGforHer Fosters a Conducive Learning Environment at Isrina School

Following our inaugural visit to Isrina School in Ajegunle, Lagos, on the 2024 International Day of Education, our team uncovered a crucial aspect demanding immediate attention. The classrooms were uncomfortably hot and less conducive for effective learning. Each class, accommodating over 30 students was equipped with a small ceiling fan, and some of these ceiling fans were faulty.

Our experience brought to light the pressing need for an immediate intervention. Education, we believe, should thrive in an environment that nurtures both the mind and body. Inspired by this vision, SDGforHer embarked on a mission to enhance the learning conditions at Isrina School, and in less than two weeks – 2nd February 2024, we were able to raise enough funds to donate energy-efficient industrial fans to each classroom in the school. This donation will provide an atmosphere conducive to learning, echoing the spirit of SDG 4 – Quality Education.

Our return to Isrina School is not merely about fans; it’s a transformative step towards a future where education is enhanced, wellbeing is prioritised, and organisations like ours take little steps each day to create lasting change. A very big thank you to the school management, our donors, our team and everyone supporting our initiatives.
