In Celebration of the 2024 International Day of Education, our team visited Isrina School in Ajegunle, Lagos, as part of our commitment to SDG 4: Quality Education. Our team had the incredible opportunity to empower the young girls at Isirina School through engaging sessions on savings and financial literacy. We also brought the class learnings to life by gifting each girl a savings box also known as ‘Kolo’ in the Yoruba language.
Highlights of the Day:
1) Interactive Learning: The girls actively participated in our sessions, showcasing enthusiasm and curiosity about the world of savings. ๐
2)Launching HerLittleKolo Challenge: We were excited to announce the kick-off of the HerLittleKolo challenge, encouraging these young girls to embrace a savings culture. We hope to digitalise this challenge through a virtual wallet. ๐ฐ
3) The joy reflected in the eyes of these young girls and the excitement of seeing the colourful Kolo fuelled our need to do more.
Our Gratitude:
A big thank you to Isirina School for welcoming us with open arms and to Uncle Sele Foundation for introducing us to the host community. Together, we’re creating ripples of change, fostering a generation that understands the value of education and financial literacy.
Let’s continue this journey of impact, education, and empowerment! ๐๐โจ
